Shades

Elliot has a penchant for aviator-style glasses. He had a pair his size which he refused to wear. We exchanged them for the aviators and he loves them (see previous post). What gives, Dad?

Monkeys

We celebrated Elliot's 2nd birthday today with 5 of his friends and their parents. It was surprisingly easy. Chad taped down butcher paper in the living room for everybody to color on. We ended up eating our cupcakes and making all of the mess there too.

He got some great gifts and was really excited about "open presents!" That night it was my turn to put him to bed. He sat up in the dark, held both of my cheeks and said, "oooh, Mama! Open presents! Monkey cupcakes! More presents!" I had to tell him there were no more presents and he seemed ok with that.

T
he party ended as every good party does: lots of jumping on the bed.

Fun

Elliot got to hang out with his friend last night- they giggled a lot. I am very certain that having a 3 1/2 year old and a 2 year old might have killed me.

Utah!

Elliot fed George and tried really hard not to jump on sleeping Devrim and Rob on the way there.

Grandma and Grandpa gave him his first Play Doh kit!

The toys we got this year were some of the best. Vrim tried to paint them with glow in the dark paint so we could take them out on the golf course at night but the paint wasn't bright enough...

He learned how to squirrel away important game pieces while Grandpa provided the hiding spot.

Chad and I got to take Elliot to Zion for a short hike. With the heavy dusting of snow we got that morning, it was really beautiful.

He learned how to "woohoo!" at the end of a good hike.
