Folklife and friends

Saturday we met Christine at Folklife for a few hours.




























The Scarf Dancers guy was a big hit.

Sunday J and his brother David were in town overnight and we grilled with Christine, Marshall and their friend that was in town. Chad made his first strawberry rhubarb pie.

food and music

A full weekend of yard work including planting veggie seeds and tomato starts. He got very serious about the art of watering.














Sunday was the final orchestra concert for the season. Elliot was running a bit of a temperature so we ate outside on the grass instead of potentially getting a whole bunch of people sick. Unfortunately we also listened to the music from outside the hall but it was good.

Hawaii

We spent a week on Oahu swimming, playing in the sand and visiting people and places we miss. Elliot progressed from not wanting to get into the water unless he was being held by one of us to floating around in his swing ring and not letting us hold onto him at all. He learned how to twirl in circles in the ring and would walk into and out of the water by himself. Playing in the sand is still high on his list of things to do. We got to spend time with Devrim, see friends, eat a half ton of poke and sleep in. Fantastic.
