Maggie's loves:
1. Tomatoes - she will grab a tomato sitting on the sill and shove it in her mouth. If she sees them anywhere on the table, the rest of her meal goes on hold.
2. Elliot's fish - she gets so excited to watch him in his space.
3. Berries - not a shocker.
4. Play tools and other electronic toys with buttons.
5. Like Elliot she has grown to love beans.
6. Music. She can keep a beat.
7. Showing you her belly button and squishing yours while giggling.
8. Putting things in her mouth and watching for your reaction.
9. Putting her fingers in her ears and nostrils.
10. Yelling "hi!"and saying up and uh-oh.
11. Crawling/cruising behind people and patting their backs.
12. Patting people's heads.
13. Ripping off socks.
14. Hanging upside down.
15. Baked seaweed snacks.
16. Babies.
17. Dogs even though their licks make her break out until rinsed off.
Not so much:
1. Diaper changes.
2. Drinking things other than water though OJ is starting to grow on her.
3. Being left with people she doesn't know.
4. Hats though hoodies seem to be ok.

Elliot upon waking
Elliot, still in bed and waking up to rain on our roof, first things out of his mouth: "Can I tell you something?"
me: "Sure!"
E: "I like three things about the rain. Number one: the vegetable plants can eat. Number two: I can splash in the puddles. Number three: I like the sound."
Usually he gets up and stealthily gets into bed to snuggle or sneaks around downstairs until he finds me and tries to scare me.
After he got up and came into my room, he added number four: "It makes everything green."

M 12 mo stats
Height: 31.5 inches/80 cm
Weight: 27 lbs 5 oz/12.4 kg
Head circ: 20 inches/50.7 cm
Above 97th % for all.
It wasn't M's regular doc and he suggested we wait until 6 months after the last reaction to dairy before trying it again. For now she's dairy-free.

Baby no more
Just in the last two weeks or so Maggie seems like she's really becoming a toddler. She's not walking (thank you) but is scooting around on her bottom and starting to pull up onto her knees. She rocks a bit on her hands and knees/bum. She waves hello and goodbye so sweetly and shakes her head no emphatically when she doesn't want something that is offered (eyes often closed and nose sometimes scrunched).
She regularly signs 'all done' when she's finished eating. She loves to drink out of normal cups with help and used a straw for drinking on her second try. It's awesome to sit down at dinner now with all of us eating together.
Her top right tooth FINALLY cut after a week of bad sleep and intestinal problems (her first since she started solids). The fat on her arms, legs and cheeks is visibly diminishing.

Camping
Friends invited us to join them camping at Horseshoe Cove in the shadow of Mt Baker. The location was amazing and there were plenty of hikes, rocks and beaches to entertain the kids. Elliot loved to stop and pick berries as we walked (after checking with our friend who is in the know) and there were slugs, bugs and a bear! Though we didn't see the bear, the campsite host stopped by on our last night to let us know one had been spotted.

Top teeth!
Or tooth! The top left tooth has broken through and the right looks so close. M's sleep has been spotty the last few nights and now we know why.

Mim and Pepere's 50th wedding anniversary
We flew to the east coast to celebrate; we started in Rhode Island near Westerly. We rented a VRBO for a week and almost everyone was able to make it. We spent our last night at the cottage.
Christa, Nadia and Mags.
We went to Galillee with Renee and John then to Captain Wheeler's Beach.

Elliot had a blast with his cousins and they were fantastic and inclusive.

Of course, everyone got to meet and love Mags.
